Location:

Camp Tri-Mount

Location Phone: 845-339-0846

Offered for the first time this year, is the opportunity for new Scouts BSA to come to camp and work on various requirements in the early Scouts BSA ranks (Tenderfoot; Second Class; and First Class). Scouts will be shown how to complete the requirement but will not be signed off by the instructor(s). The Scouts BSA will then return to their troop leadership to show what they have learned and have the requirement signed off by their own troop leadership.

Over the course of the merit badge weekend, there are up to 12 hours of badge instruction and participation available. All participants are to attend the weekend as a unit. The Council is not responsible for providing adult leadership for your Scouts. Units and Scouts may stay for the entire weekend session (Friday, 5:30pm to Sunday, 1:30pm) or elect to attend on Saturday only (7:00am8:15pm), depending on the number of sessions the Merit Badge Counselor requires for that badge. Campsites will be available, and meals are the responsibility of the unit. Updates and notification of program advancements will continuously be distributed through RVWC via electronic communications.
