The Scout Bowl-a-Thon is a fun fundraising event!
Scouts receive pledges from family, friends, and neighbors. A minimum of $30 in total pledges are needed to participate.
Units should register with Council to secure lanes for their scouts. Scouts must wear their uniform and bring their pledge sheets and funds with them to the event. Scouts will get free shoes and lanes and get to bowl 2 games with their Unit.
The thrifty Scouts who participate will earn 60% of monies they raise to pay their own way toward their unit's fair share fundraising goal and also receive a patch for participating.
In addition to the patch, the following incentive prizes are available:
$50 in total pledges receives a $5 Scout Shop gift certificate.
$100 in total pledges receives either a trophy OR a $10 Scout Shop gift certificate.
$150 in total pledges receives a trophy AND either a ($15 gift certificate to Wal-Mart OR a $25 Scout Shop gift certificate).
$250 in total pledges receives a trophy AND either a ($40 gift certificate to Wal-Mart OR a $50 Scout Shop gift certificate).
*** Parents and siblings can participate if they meet the minimum pledge requirements. Any funds raised by family would count toward their unit's fair share goal. ***
